Baptism

Baptism is the outward statement of
a spiritual decision to follow Jesus.

Why baptism?

In baptism, we are representing our belief that we are made new and have new life through the death and resurrection of Jesus.

The Bible doesn’t say that baptism is a requirement for salvation. However, the New Testament describes baptism as an act of obedience for believers (Matthew 28:19) as we give a visual testimony to others of our faith in Jesus (Acts 2:41). At LifePoint, we baptize by immersion because it is the New Testament image of someone who has chosen to forsake their life of sin and take-up a life committed to Jesus (Romans 6:4).

Sign up for baptism below, and one of our pastors will connect with you about taking your next step.
